File restrictions checkbox greyed out

Hi, A colleague has just add a file to our shared Groove workspace.

I can't see it and it seems that the reason is that the 'block restricted
file types' property is checked. He had to uncheck his to get the file in.

The problem is that my property is greyed out so that I cannot uncheck it.

I'm on Groove 2007 on W2k Server R2 x64 (I wonder if the OS is the problem).

I created the workspace and have manager priviledges.

Any ideas?

If your Groove account is managed by your company the Groove Domain
Administrator can block certain file types. Please check with your IT dept
to see if this is the case.

Sadly, I am my company. So I am the IT dept and I've done nothing of this
sort (at least, not on purpose!)

I should say that we've both noticed that the launchbar insists that we
aren't communicating (there;s an icon that indicates we may wish to suspend
each other), though the workspace thinks we are both there. Confusing? Sure.

If the accounts are unmanaged accounts the file restirctions cannot be
changed. However, if the file was a restricted type the person would not have
been able to add it to the space unless he was on a different version of
Groove or had an altered managed account.

The only restriction for the OS would be that you cannot use File Sharing
Spaces on 64 bit architecture. Only Standard spaces would work.

Thanks for your feedback, Michael.

I don't understand what you mean by 'unmanaged account'. The term occurs in
the help once, but I have no idea what it means.

How can I find out if I'm an unmanaged account and how can I change it?
