File Save … crash Excel
I am having some unexplained saving problems with excel. Specifically the
file will not save across a network drive.
Here are some diagnostic issues:
Code performs the save the file operation before it process database
functions or the user presses save file. The save process seems to time out
and list an error of: “Document Not Savedâ€, Number 1004
Once the error occurs then the file can not be saved Ever. The file “save
as†does not work either trying to save it to a local drive. Excel must be
closed via task manager.
Other times there is a message box “Windows – Delay write failed†listing he
file name and then “This error may be caused by a failure of your computer
hardware or network connection. Please try to save the file elsewhere.†The
Excel app then goes into crash/recovery mode.
If the file is “recovered†then all the formatting of the cells are lost.
The files are about 1.5 Meg
There save process seems to have problems when rows/worksheets have been
added/deleted via VBA code.
Any Thoughts,
Thanks in advance,
