File Save Lag.

I have a problem. When I go to save an office document
and the file save dialog pops up, if I try to save a file
in a different location by clicking on the pulldown menu
the system hangs and takes forever to show the directory
contents of the pulldown menu. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you have any old network drives listed in Network Neighbourhood, remove
them so that Word doesn't iterate through all the available save options.

Also try disabling inline autocomplete in Internet Explorer (Tools > Options

Advanced )
