I need to create a macro to save files in the following format:
2006.11.21_[Atty Initials]_[Brief Document Title]_[Brief Descriptor].doc
The documents will be created from a variety of templates which are used by
all users in the Firm; however, this naming convention applies to one
shareholder and the associates/paralegals who work on his cases.
The types of documents are letterhead, fax cover sheets, two types of court
paper and just plain documents with no particular template assigned.
I would like the date to be the current date, in the format set out above;
the users can fill in the rest of the information - I'm not interested in
picking up information from within the document itself - I prefer the user
complete the "fields" themselves to keep the length of the file under control.
As I have created only the simplest of macros in Word, I'm going to require
a little help to make this happen. Any suggestions?
