file search option

I noticed that the file search option found in the File menu which was
present in Word 2003 does not seem to exist in Microsoft Office Word 2007.I
tried to comfirm it by doing a google search,searching in the Microsoft
Office Word offline and online help and i tried searching through various
Word blogs but to no avail.I want to know if the file search option has been
replaced with another feature or the function has been removed. I would be
really grateful if someone could clarify my query at the earliest.

Hi Preeto,

The MS Office file search option has been removed in Office 2007. Search is a task assigned to the Windows team. In Windows Vista
much of the capability is built in, with Windows XP and Office MS's suggested path is to install Microsoft Desktop Search v3. If
you start Outlook 2007 it should prompt you to install the Desktop search feature if it's not already avaialable.
