File shared failure in WinXP SP2

Dear all,

I have a problem. When my mdb file is located in a folder with full
permission (WinXP, SP2), group users cannot open the mdb at the same time.
But when the mdb is located in shared folder with full permission (Win2000),
then it works well. Afterwards, I place the mdb file in another WinXP(SP1)
workstation in shared folder, group users can access the file at the same
time.

I still do not know what is going on, is there any idea for me.

Thanks a lot
Jack

Do you get any error messages?

Dear Tony,

When the mdb file is located on the WInXP, the user of Win2000 cannot open
the startup form. The error message "translate from Chinese" shown was that
"The form cannot be opened.

Last night, when I switch off the firewall of winXp, it seemed better
because the WIn2000 user can open the startup form. But the record is read
only and no edit is allowed. I expected the remaining problem is still the
high security of WinXP.

regards,
Jack
