If your satisfied with your document choose Save As... . And save as a
new document. or save as same name to replace it.
IF you do a regular save. all your changes are invisible to you except
what you wanted to see. and are Appended to the end of the document.
While this makes it easy to go back to what a document looked like
before a Change it bloats the document. Doing Save AS makes a fresh
from start clean document.
Another thing that happens is that your formatting becomes corrupt.
To fix Click on symbol resembling a backwards musical note.
Move cursor to beginning of document and click Mouse.
Now scroll to very end of document now place after the last paragraph
mark at the end of of the last sentence. But before the very last
Paragraph Mark and shift Click.
Now open a new Document and hit Command -V to paste.
Turn of the view/hide paragraph marks
check to see if the document looks like your original if so save as a
new document.
Check size of new document size should be reduced.
Note if you inserted any Graphics That will affect size as well.
Trying to save a word file for mailing.
Six pages with a couple of pics.
Yesterday it was 3.3mb(!) now it's 18+mb (!*^%&?).
How do I reduce that to a realistic size, i.e. back to 3.3 or smaller.
