File size does not change when removing image from header or foote

I have a Project file in to which I inserted an image into the Header.
This greatly increased the file size. When I removed the image the file size
remained the same.
Please can anyone offer an explanation for this behaviour and suggest a
workaround?

thanks

I have been into this problem before. There is no direct function in MS
Project to downsize the project file but as a workaround, you can copy-paste
the project gant from the original (large-size) file to a new file.

I hope this can help!

Hisham.

CarlSprake,
The Copy/Paste approach, as Hisham suggested, might help, but you should
check out FAQ 43 - Handling project file corruption and/or bloat at,
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm, for a little more robust solution.
