File Size

I am working with FrontPage 2000. I store all of my pictures on my FTP site,
use the link in the picture properties and when I complete preparing my
document and save it, it saves as a 5 to 7 KB file. Yet, when I send this
page by email, the email size that is received is in the 300-400 KB size.

I don't know what I am doing to caue this major change in the file size.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Does the email have the image embedded in it, or is only the link sent
in the email. If the image is embedded, then the resulting email file
size could be at least double that of the image, plus all the text
around it.

Hi Ron, Thanks for your response. I import the pictures to my flyer and
then I add the link to the pictures from my FTP site. In my current flyer, I
have eight pictures plus text and the saved file is only 7kb's. Something is
happening when I send out the email.

Send a flyer to my Hotmail address. It should end up in the Junkmail
folder where I can find it. Then I can see if the images are embedded
or linked to, and the size of the resulting mail.
