file synchronizing

how do I stop the automatic file synchronizing? This is not something I
knowingly scheduled and is tying up tremendous RAM and reducing my office
operational ability.

Synchronisation is when OL polls - does an automatic send/receive - check
that your send/receive settings are for not less than 10 mins

An AV plugin (Email scanning) can cause problems with OL

by checking your email, send/receive settings - hint Tools>Options
anti virus email scanning plugin, often installed by your anti virus
application
