file unvailable

I am having trouble opening files in all of my MS Office
applications. In particular, Word states that the file is
unavailable, PP says that it cannot be read and Excel
states there is a virus, though I ran several virus scans
which have not found any.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, created a new
file, saved it, and it stil says the newly created file is
unavailable (Word).

Please Help!! I am a student and I need these applications
desparately.
