Filed to sync Active Directory with Resource Pool

I try and synchronize a Active Directory group in Project Web Access /ProjectServer/admin/sec_organization.asp page.
and I get this failure message "The Active Directory group failed to synchronize with the Enterprise Resource Pool on 1/16/2004 at 1:43 PM."

I know these groups exist because I can add them to my Sharepoint Portal Server groups.

Project Server is running on a site that has WSS running on it.

When I look in the Event Viewer Log I get following Descriptions:
