filelock.9

I am running access 2000 on my web site. I am having trouble updating it via
an FTP as I get "access.filelock.9" on the server - this seams to occur and
clear by itself.

The database is currently 7 Mbs

Why does this happen and how long should it take to clear?

I am not a programmer - just a dumb user!

Thanks MagentaCircle

If you turn on extensions, you should find that the "access.filelock.9" has
an extension of .ldb. It's the locking file, and it means that Access is in
use (it's creating in the same folder as the mdb when the first user enters
the database, subsequent users update it, and it's deleted when the last
user closes the database)
