Filemaker Pro to Access 2002

Melissa

I need to import some Filemaker Pro databases into
Microsoft Access 2002. The databases belong to a remote
user, and that user is the only one who has Filemaker on
their machine. I've found ways to export out of Filemaker
into Access, but I need to know how to import from
Access. Does anyone know how to do this without having
Filemaker on their machine? Unfortunately the user is not
a computer person and is not capable or comfortable enough
to do the export.

Thank you.

Hi Melissa,

As far as I know FileMaker is the only application that understands its
file format (there's an ODBC driver of sorts but I'm pretty sure it
needs FileMaker installed). So you'll either need to educate the remote
user or find a copy of FileMaker nearer home. If you haven't already
done so, take a look at the FileMaker website: there may be a
time-limited evaluation version available for download.
