Filemaker Send Mail Script Step doesn't open mail

Using Filemaker 7 and Entourage for Mac. When launching a Send mail
script step in FM7 Entourage creates a new message but leaves it in the
Drafts box without opeing the message. Is there a way to make the
message open? (if possible without using AppleScript).
