<filename> could not be found.

I am running Excel 97 on NT4 and receive the following
error message when I attempt to open a file which has
spaces in the path:

'<filepath>' could not be found. Check the spelling of the
file name, and verify that the file location is correct.

The Knowledge Base has an article (177248) relating to
this problem on Win95 but not NT. It suggests that the
cause is installations of Excel 97 and Excel 4.0 on a
single machine, which definitely isn't the case here.

Any suggestions? The file opens eventually but this is
becoming very irritating!
