Filenames of US and UK dictionaries

Hi,

I've got the usual annoying problem - my computer is set up for UK English,
but many of my colleagues have (less competently) got theirs set up for US.

I hate that when replying to their emails, that the computer takes my
correct spelling and deliberately misspells it.

I've tried the various options listed here, but none of them have been
satisfactory.

I'm using Office 2002.

I want to locate the UK and US dictionaries and (having taken a backup) copy
the UK one over the top of the US one. That should fix things.

Does anybody know the file names of the US and UK dictionaries?

Don't worry about locations - my setup is a bit different...

All dictionaries have a .dic extension. However, sounds like your problem may be with the keyboard language (your colleagues, that is) Go to Control Panel->Keyboard and ensure the language is set to English - UK.

Thanks, Milly!

The problem is def. with the regional settings on my colleagues' machines,
but there's about 800 of them, so...

Unfortunately, I can only find Custom.dic, rather than any others.

I'm searching the whole c drive, incl. system / hidden files and folders.

Any ideas?
