files and folders out of alphabetical order in Open dialog box

I can't figure out how to have my files and folders show
in an alphabetical listing in the Open dialog box. I'm
always searching in the non-alphabetized way they appear
and it's confusing and wastes time. Can anyone help me
figure out how to make this happen. I used to use Word 97
and everything weas aphabetized. Thanks
