Files are all read only

I transferred files from an old Windows 98 PC to Windows 2003 server.
Everytime I try to open the files from PC's (xp pro) connected to the server,
they open fine. But when I try to save them, it says they are read only. I
right-click, they are not checked as read only. Any ideas on what needs to
be done? Seems like an bug/issue when migrating from 98.

Hi Luke,

Try checking the access level that the account your connecting to the server
has. Sounds like the permissions are set to "read Only" if thats the case
you'll need to amend the permissions on the server.
