files not accessible

I have just purchased a text production book. Included with the book is a
CD-ROM. This CD-ROM has important recall text and worked examples. The
problem is when i go to open these files, office says that the files are not
accessible. I would be gratful if anyone can help me resolve this, if of
course it is possible to resolve.

If you are trying to open the files in Word, copy them from the CD to your
hard drive, remove the read only attribute using Windows Explorer (right
click > properties) then open them from the hard drive.
