files on a page

I have four PDF files on a page. They stand vertically and as a group
together. By group I mean: When I press enter at the top of the page, then
the four files move down altogether. So it is not the case that 3 of them
moves but one because I could have pressed the shift button and moved one
file to the right of another file so that that one file is not in the group
but just floating separately. My question is: I wish to locate the files
next to each other on a horizontal line instead of vertically. And when I
press enter above them I want all of them to move down as a group. I am able
to put them horizontally but they are not grouped together to move together.
How can I place the files next to each other and still force them to stick
to each other, to make them move together hand in hand?

One thing would be using the "PrintOut Manager" PowerToy.
This would allow for 3 columns.

Another way would be to create a container and then place the images in
there with copy+paste.

Thanks but:
I am trying to put the file icons, not the prinouts from the files. Or do I
misunderstand your suggestion?

Thanks for clarifying!
I had understood your scenario totally wrong: Thought that it was about
printouts from PDFs ...

If it's only icons, it's pretty easy:
Just create a table with four columns and put the icons in there using
copy+paste.

Rainald and David!

Thanks a lot this is great. One more question: Is it possible to change the
name of the pdf file that floats on a page? I wish to rename some of the pdf
files and still keep them in a ON page. Do I need to save the file as with
another name on the desktop and then reinsert again to ON? Or is there a way
to rename the file on the ON page?

There does not appear to be a way to rename the file in-place using the
OneNote interface. Given that the file is embedded/linked in the table, you
could insert a title row above the files and give this the description of
the file - which is easy to change at any time.
