On my website I have some files that are .lms files. These were created by a
3rd party software to control light controllers. (The "lms" stands for
lighted musical sequence")
I publish them to the web as a link on a page and they are on the server
with the correct extension. However, if anyone clicks on them, they open as a
..XML file in explorer. Even if you right click it still saves as a .xml file.
If you change the extension once d-loaded to .lms they will work but this is
a hassle for people and they nver used to do this.
Can anyone think of a reason why this would be happening?
You can see for yourself at www.xmas.planetmonkman.com/lor.htm
This only happens with the Halloween ones at bottom of the page as I have
not published the christmas ones yet.
Any help would be appreciated.
Oh, in case you are wondering exactly what these files and software do, go
to the video page.
