Files " read only "

Hi Folks,
When a create a new document and i save them in the hard disk C: the file is
saved like " archive ", but when i send the same file to the CD, this file
stays as "archive" but also transforms to " read only ". I have the office
2003 and i want to know if this procedure is normal or not. If not, can
anybody tell me how can i change the" read only " to " archive "?

CD's are write 'once' read many, thus they are read-only. The alternative is
to use a cd-rw.....
