Files read only?

Word 2002

This is happening to me alot I am working on a document and save the file a
few times and then try to save the file again and it is read only.
I am on a standalone PC-not on the network.
Any ideas what's going on?

Not sure what is happening, but a quick fix would be to save the document
under another name--usually that fixing the "read only" problem.
