The problem appears to be related to the DDE process. This has been pointed
out many times in numerous posts. Why is ther no fix?

The "problem" seems to appear when some other program or application
partially corrupts the DDE linking. The "fix" has been posted numerous
times.

Hi Bob I,

I hate to disagree, but the "fix" is only a workaround. Not using DDE means
that every document you open has it's own running instance of the application
which I'm sure is not what the developers intended.

I too would like to see this issue addressed once and for all.

Cheers,

J.

Yes, it is a workaround, the TRUE fix is to reinstall the Office Suite(I
stated this in other threads on this issue, as this goes all the way
back to Office 2000), and PREVENT any of several other rogue programs
from being installed and breaking the DDE connections.
