Hi,
We have some doc files located on a file server that, when accessed from the
network by some specific xp systems take up to 30 seconds to open. These
files are fery small, just a few Kb.
After some testing, we decided to transfer those files locally to the xp
computers, same result. We even tried to copy the content of the files and
paste it in brand new doc files but no way. The same xp computers that before
experienced the delay problem from the network, now have the same problem
locally.
These machines are Windows XP Service Pack 3 as the rest of our XP machines
and all of them have the same patches. We also tried to defragment the local
disks and even log off and log on with a different user with admin rights but
still get the same result.
Any help will be appreciated.
