Have you got a particular effect in mind? If you have access to a digital
camera, you can always take a photograph of a texture or surface and then use
the fill with a picture facility. See http://homepages.tesco.net/keithhowell/500dwp20.htm
Thanks Keith. Is there a way that I can add a picture and be able to type
over top of it with out using a text box? I'm trying to apply text over the
picture without having the white background that comes with the text box.
not sure what version you are using -- (I use 2000 -- haven't kept up with
the times) -- but you can right click on any shape and select add text to
that shape which will keep whatever background fill you have selected. You
may have trouble with the wrap of the text... but that's another question.
Use a text box and specify 'No fill' and 'No line'. That way you will have
text that you can float over your picture. You might have to play around with
Order or specify text wrapping of 'behind text' for your picture
