I see how to create the fill-in and even to write a prompt, now how do I move
from one fill-in to the next and get the prompt at each one?

You don't, exactly. That is you don't "move from one fill-in to the next and
get the prompt at each one". If you create a template and add your fill-in
fields, when you create a new document based on the template you'll be
prompted for each fill-in field in the document in succession.

Unless it also contains your own macros, no. The fill-in fields are fields
and when you create a new document based on the template the fields are
updated (similar to pressing Ctrl+A to select all and then pressing F9) and
no additional VBA code is needed.
