fill out forms

hello - i'm programming a database in access and right now i'did find some
problems as follow: maybe someone can help me a little bit:

I' m programming a database for my buisiness . I'did make for clients,
articel, invoice tbn's. I did make forms when a coustomer order something.
My problem is, that I'd like after i wrote the coustomer number in the
field, that the programm search for the dates ( of the coustomer number ) an
fill out automaticly - the same with products after i wrote for example the
name, access should make the rest to fill the other dates.

Thanks Peter

One of the wizards that you can use when you add a combo box onto a form
does what you're after (I think). Make sure that you have the Control
Wizard thing switched on on the Toolbox, and then add a combo to your form.
Go for the 'Find a record....' option and then follow it through.

I don't think that that is completely what you're looking for, but hopefully
if you examine the code that Access generates for you then it'll give you
some ideas.

(The idea, by the way, of using the same control to display key information
and also being able to use it to find records would be problematic)
