filled hotspots

Hi All;

I'm using FP2003 and am hotspotting an image file. I'd like the hotspot to
highlight in some color to highlight the area within the hotspot when the
mouse hover over it. I can't seem to find a way to do this - is it
possible...

If the answer is flash.swf files - then all i need is a flash creator with
hotspot&highlight mode - pretty slim for a flash creator - any suggestions
on swf that can do this?

Or am i totally off base?

thanks!

Not that I know of. Flash can do this, though I don't know any flash app
that limits itself to this level of functionality so it may be overkill. The
other thing to dois to break the image up so that you have sections that
match the hotspots and instead of doing a hotspot do rollover images. This
doesn't always work well though if you have irregular shapes that would
overlap too much, as in a map of the united states where you wanted to
highlight each state. You "may" be able to do this with javascript, but it
would involve creating colored shapes over each item and that can get to be
very intensive for scripting. Flash would even be easier than that approach.
