fillin field prompt order in template (word)

I built a template where 'fillin' fields prompt the user to enter the data to
complete the letter. However, when the template is opened, the order of the
prompts is wrong. How do you determine the order of the fillin field prompts?

Thank you

As far as I know, the FILLINs in the main body of the text are executed
in the sequence you expect. If you have FILLINs in old-style Word
frames, I believe they are executed as if they are at the beginning of
the paragraph to which the frame is anchored. If you have FILLINs in
text boxes, they are in another "story" or "layer" from the main
document, and allthough there may well be a demonstrable set of rules
for execution sequence, I suggest you try another design (e.g. convert
your text boxes to frames) - although some fields work fine in text
boxes, many do not. ISTR determining that the FILLINs in text boxes are
executed in reverse order of the /creation/ of the text box, but I may
well be misremembering that.

Hi Lu - I've used FILLIN fields a lot and find they work in the order that
you put them into your document. I haven't ever used them in frames. Have
you clicked Alt + F9 to see the codes in your document? This helps you see
the 'recipe' behind your codes - you can then see whether you've doubled up
or got something out of order. Hope that helps.
