Once in a while I come across a word documents with blanks that I'm supposed
to print out and fill in. But I prefer to fill it on a computer to make the
text easier to read.
What I do is create a drawing frame and create text boxes with no borders
and put it behind (so there is no text wrapping) the space I want to fill
in. This works ok except for two problems:
Fine tuning the position of the text box is not easy. If I nudge it with
keyboard, it moves a lot more than I want. If I use the mouse, it snaps into
invisible grids. If I hold down the alt key to prevent snapping, the
bounding box would resist moving at first, then suddenly move by a big
distance. Is there a better way to move a text box by a small distance?
Putting the cursor into a previously created text box seems like a hit and
miss thing. Quite often clicking the cursor on the text results in new text
being created. I have to click several times before it "finds" the old text
box. Is there an easier way?
