filling out forms via sharepoint

I made a form that I want people to fill out, I want to be able to have
them do so in a sharepoint library (shared folder would be ok also) and
then I want another form that is a little different, but most of the
fields are the same and I want it to pull data from the filled out
sharepoint forms. How can I do this?

thanks,
tim

Just a thought, but how about creating different views within the same
form?

You can create two user roles for the form, and two views.

Create a "preparer" role, have it "set as initiator", and associate
this role with the "form-filler" view. This way, anybody opening the
form for the first time and filling it out will get the initial form
view.

Create a "viewer" role as default for everybody and associate the role
with the secondary view. This way, anybody opening it after it has
been saved to the sharepoint form library will use the modified view
of the form.
