filter applies and won't go away

MS Project 2003 (11.2.2005.1801.15) SP2 Project Server 2003 SP1

I have a project that opens with a filter applied. I want it to show all
tasks when opened but regardless of how I save it when I open it again it
will have the same filter applied. The only way I can get it to open like I
want is to delete the filter using the organizer. How can I keep the filter
in but have it open with no filter applied?

Do the following:

1. Open the project in question
2. Click View - More Views
3. Click the Edit button to edit the current view
4. Set the Filter option to All Tasks (or All Resources, if in a resource
view)
5. Click OK
6. Click Apply

Let us know if this helps.

What is the name of the View that is applied in that project? Is it a local
View or an enterprise View? What is the name of the Filter applied in that
View? Is it a local Filter or an enterprise Filter? Let us know and we
will try to help.

The view name applied is SEN Tracking. It is an enterprise view.
Filter name applied is LOE UPdate. It is an enterprise filter.

Thank you; that answers my question. If you apply the SEN Tracking view to
that project, save it and close it, and then reopen it, the software
displays the proejct with that enterprise View, and always includes the
enterprise LOE Update filter because that Filter is part of the definition
for that View. What you need to do is to apply a different View (such as
the Gantt Chart view) in that project, and then save it and close it. When
you reopen it again, you won't see the Filter applied because you saved it
with a different View. But if you apply the SEN Tracking view, the system
will once again apply the LEO Update filter.

If you don't want the LOE Update filter applied in the SEN Tracking view,
then open the Enterprise Global for editing, and modify that View to include
a different filter, such as the All Tasks filter. Hope this helps.
