Filter by Form

I've got a table called tblData and a Form which has tblData as it's data
source. When I put the form in "Filter by Form" mode, I thought I was
suppossed to receive a list box of values to filter by in each field.

If I open the table (tblData) and filter by form, I do get the list box in
each field. However, if I open the form, I don't get the list boxes. What's
the deal?
