Filter deletion

hope someone can help,
I am using project 2003 and have "copied" filters from another plan into my
current gantt chart and renamed them in the drop down tabs in- Project -
filter - more filters ( hope that makes sense?)
How do I remove the original filter that was copied across from this drop
down box?
I have gone into the organiser and delelted it from the filter tab , but
evrytime i save the file and go back into it the original is still in the
drop down filter slection

Hi Andy,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

I'm not 100% sure, but if you delete from the project, then Project will
interrogate the Global.mpt file to resurrect missing filters. You'd have to
delete them from the Global file as well, using the Organizer. Try that.
