Filter Enterprise resources

Hi
I am new to project server and have created a list of resources on the
enterprise resource pool for use over 3 company sites. What I would like to
do now is be able to set up a couple of filters using the function Enterprise
Outline Code.
I there are documents etc that can explain how to create these?
