filter form open & refilter with user input

Access 2007. I am using a split form showing datasheet on the bottom. In
the past I've used a query for user input to show the records they want, but
with the datasheet available, I would like to have the option of showing all
of the records (to let them scroll throught) or just one that is picked by
the user.

I would like to add a filter when loading the form, once open provide the
option of showing all records , or letting the user chose a specific record.

I would appreciate any help.
