Filter Outlook Today by Category?

Is it possible to create a custom Outlook Today page that shows appointments
and tasks within certain selected categories? I'm not a programmer,
although I can manage HTML.

Or if not, is it possible to create a single view that draws items from 2
folders (appointments and tasks)?
