Filter problem after converting 97 db to 2000

D

David

I have just converted some Access97 dbs to 2000, but I am
experiencing filter problems with some of my forms. I get
the run-time error 2488("you can't use the ApplyFilter
action this window."

On another form I noticed that a ApplyFilter command on a
form uses the same parameter value over and over(a date in
this case).

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello,

See if following article applys to your scenerio:

ACC2000: Error with Requery Macro Action to Requery a Control on a Subform
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;279028

If above doesn't help, make sure the you have the latest service pack and
the jet update:

Q276367 OFF2000: How to Obtain the Latest Office 2000 Service Pack
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q276367

Q239114 ACC2000: Updated Version of Microsoft Jet 4.0 Available in Download
Center
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q239114

Also try clearing the filter when closing the form - ie. me.filter = "" .

If none of above helps, you can redo the conversion process:

ACC2000: Where to Find Conversion Information for Microsoft Access 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;208769

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
reply to this posting.
