Filter Scrolling

In Excel 2000 when I apply a filter with certain criteria I can no longer
scroll through the document. It is like it just freezes the entire
worksheet. This only happens with filters that return over a few pages
worth of results as opposed to ones that can all be viewed on the screen at
once (a few lines maybe).

I could duplicate this under a pretty weird circumstance.

I filtered my data and then apply Data|filter|autofilter so that the freeze pane
was near the bottom of the filtered range.

When I filtered by another value (or just did data|filter|showall), the freeze
panes made it so that the visible cells couldn't move.

Maybe you have the same situation. Try Windows|Unfreeze Panes.

If that was it, it's probably a good rule of thumb to only apply freeze panes
only when all the rows are visible.
