Filtering a date range within a date range

I want to be able to create a filter that shows all the work scheduled during
a date range. For example: I want to show all work scheduled between today
and one month from now. In order for this to work, I would have to build a
filter that would show all tasks where any date within my range falls between
the start and finish date of the task.
Let's look closer: I want to see all tasks whose work falls between 3/1 and
3/30. So if a task starts on 3/5 and ends on 3/15, it should be included in
the filter, regardless of it's progress. Basically, I'm trying to find all
tasks whose start-finish date range falls anywhere within my set date range.
By the why, my range will change everytime I run the filter.
Any suggestions?

AFAIK this is what teh Date Range filter in Project does.
