filtering a project web access view

Hi there
I'd like to create a project view filtering on an enterprise project
text field which i have created called "department"
In this view I just want to see the projects where the value in this
field is "IT"
Please could someone help me to work out how i do this?
I had a look at the filter section in manage views but it looks as if I
need to create an enterprise outline code. I then looked at creating
such a thing and am currently lying down in a darkened room with a damp
flannel on my forehead.

You will need to use a custom enterprise Project outline code to show the
Department, and then you can filter on it in Project Center views. An
additional benefit will be that this Department outline code will become
available in Portfolio Analyzer views the next time the OLAP cube rebuilds.

No, it is not difficult. To create it, you need to first create the Code
Mask that specifies how many levels and what type of characters you will
use. Then you create the Lookup Table with the values you want to see on
the list. Hope this helps.
