Filtering from Assign Resources Dialog box won't work?

I have some custom fields in a Resource Pool against resources. When I
attempt to filter to them using criteria based on the custom lookup values
the lookup values do display in the filter window but when i have selected a
value the "Value/s" field goes blank and when I apply the filter it doesn't
bring back the required results - why is this?

ignore this as I have just worked this out for myself...I need to have the
filters built in teh resource pool then copied across into the plans using
the pool and then it works!
