Filtering Linked MSGraphs on a Form

I am new to this group so my apologies if my request is inappropriate
for this group.

I am trying to filter linked graphs on a form but am experiencing
difficulty in getting it to work properly. I want to filter the
graphs by a field that contains names of athletes. The graphs show
training information (i.e. distance covered) for each athlete over a
time field (week) for several different types of activities (cycling,
running etc..). I have linked the graph to a crosstab query and can
show the training info for each activity (one record at a time).
There are several of these graphs which sit on a single form. But the
graph shows this for all athletes when I want it to show info for only
the athlete I select on a previous form. This form filters the graph
form by ahtletes but it has no affect on the crosstab queries linked
to the graphs and hence my graphs continue to show all athletes info
instead of only the athlete selected. Any help would be appreciated.
