filtering query

i create a query with 5 parameters. the problem is too many parmaters for the
user to remainer. when the 5 parameters are met the form is created because
the form is based off a query. the reason i needed parameter because i
created a grouping filter query in order to have the records display a
certain order on the form

can i create this sorting or filtering another way?

You can try to use a listbox or combo box to supply each of the parameters.
You can also use a listbox/combo box to filter like a drill down, each
successive one limiting the next. An example with 2 list boxes is at:

can you give me an ideal .. do i go to the actual query and add lookup table.
don tknow how to do the combo. the form doesn not create until parameters are
filled in. box asking parametic pops up and then when all boxes have been
entered with data the form is created.

Take another look at the sample. It answers your questions. If you create
the queries without the criteria, then open a form, the queries won't pop up
a parameter request.
