Find all emails to 1 address

H

Huck Rorick

I would like to find all the messages that I sent to a particular email
address. I can click on the "To" column and it sort on that field.
However, the "To" column does not have all the items to a particular email
address labeled the same. For example, I sent things to an email address
(e-mail address removed) . The "To" column has these messages listed under
(e-mail address removed) and "Elizabeth Smith". It took me a while to discover
this. At first I thought a bunch of emails were lost. Now if I want to
find all the messages to an email address I have to be sure I have all the
ways it is listed in "To". Also, I have to switch around when looking
through the emails.

Anyone know a solution to this problem?

Thanks,

Huck

Which version of Outlook? A search folder would probably be the easiest
solution.

you can either use advanced find, a search folder or a custom view with the
from address exposed.

See http://www.slipstick.com/exs/customfields.htm to expose the from
address.
If you use adv find or a search folder, put the address in the from field on
the General tab of the filter.
