Find and delete numbers or text of a specific color

Is it possible to find and delete text in red or numbers in MS Word
2003? The reason: we have transcriptionists who modify text based on a
numbering system dictated by the doctors. After finishing the typing,
they delete the numbmers for each paragraph.

If there is no way to delete that, is it possible to create a word
document that shows the numbers but it can be turned on and off? Or
when you copy and paste, these numbers will not be copied?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Would it work to have the typists use a two-column table?

Col. 1 would be used for the numbers. 2 for the text.

When you want to copy or print, save entire file to a new file, delete Col.
1, adjust column width, and acclaim can be yours!

Similarly, you can copy all text in Col. 2 and paste in a new doct with or
w/o formating.

Thanks for the suggestion. That would be a very good idea if the macro
program they use support tables. They can type partial works and the
complete paragraphs would show up. I don't think it support complex
formatting, but I will verify.

You're welcome.

Do you mean autocompletion rather than use of macros?

Either should work within a table.

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. The program we use is a plugin for Word that
you set up the text to enter and press return it substitute it with a
complete text. I've tried copy-and-paste the table to that program, it
changes the table into multiple tabs.

It's an interesting idea to use autocomplete or autotext in Word. I'm
trying to see if I can create a template that has all the text in it
and the user can import the template into their word document.
