find and demerge merged cells

Hi
I have a worksheet with cells merged at many places.So I am unable to sort
properly. I want a program to find and demerge all merged cells.

Click on the Select All button (to the left of the Column A button)
Choose Format>Cells
Select the Alignment tab
Click the Merge Cells check box to remove the check mark
(you may have to click twice)
Click OK
