Find and Replace Application is not workin

Our "find and replace" application has quit working on several of our
computers. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Can you further define "has quit working"? That is, when you press Ctrl+F or
Ctrl+H, do you not get the Find or Replace dialog? Or does Find not find
text that you are sure is in the document? Or what?
